Yesterday I spent the day walking the rim trail to Grand Canyon Village, and then riding the three different shuttle buses around the park.
Today I rode from Tusayan into the park and about 20 miles of the desert view Road heading east. This part of the park is not very populated and has no facilities. It was a great ride with moderate climbing until the raindrops started. After turning around, I ran into hail and then a drenching rain back to Tusayan. That’s what I get for trying to outsmart the weather. Happy I was able to get the miles in.
