Yesterday was a challenge. I tried to ride the Combi for the first. Combis are a common form of transport in Mexican cities. They are vans that run all over the city for 10 pesos (about 55 cents). I’m not sure how but I ended up on the wrong route that took me in the opposite direction. Eventually in very broken Spanish, I spoke to the family next to me. They suggested I get off the combi and call an Uber. Oh well, better luck next time. They were very kind and waited with me for the Uber to arrive.
After shopping at the mall I returned to my new apartment for the week. It was nice to have my own space with all my belongings. I wandered in search of dinner and ended up with Pazole, a soup with hominy and meat. Not my favorite but good enough.
