Another day in Yosemite!

I spent a peaceful day Saturday around the campground. After exploring the area on mountain bike I soaked in the nearby river which was considerably warmer than the Merced.

Sunday I arrived at the park at 7am for a 9 mile hike to Nevada and Vernal Falls. The amount of water flowing over these falls right now is incredible!  I got completely soaked, which was not a surprise. I read that the Sierra Nevada mountain range has had 250% of its normal annual snow. After my hike, I took the shuttle to the Ahwhanee Lodge and caught up with emails and had lunch. Before leaving the park I hiked a short distance to the base of Yosemite falls.
I’m so glad I came to Yosemite. It really is a spectacular sight.
