A tough day of riding today. 80 miles including 4 extra miles to detour around a rock slide covering the road which included pushing the bike over a mountain on a dirt road. Most of the day was ordinary and not very picturesque with a constant headwind. Two roadside coffee breaks were necessary to make it through. I did manage to replace my kickstand as I pulled into Vienna. I discovered a broken screw in the old one which I’ll have to deal with in the states. Chris, Paul and a new rider Frank are staying at a hostel. My first communal type lodging.
