This morning I took the subway downtown and visited the famous Sacher Cafe know for their Sacher Torte. The delicious yet simple chocolate cake was first created by Sacher in 1832. It was a great start to the day.
The waiter suggested the Wein museum which is where I went next. The extensive museum tells the history of Vienna through artifacts, art and hands on exhibits.
I then met Paul in the cathedral square before going for lunch at Ferhat Donner for a sandwich. I had passed by this place yesterday and was determined to give them a try. Their donner sandwich is great.
Tonight all of us are going to the opera. What a change of pace! Tomorrow we’re back on the bike headed to Bratislava and Anne country.
